The World is Coming to London
Hi, this is Chuck Swindoll. I can remember the newscasts of the celebrations in London when the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games was finally decided. That was back in July of 2005. It has taken a lot of work and a lot of investment to get ready for the Games, but here we are – summer of 2012, and the whole world is coming to London.
I hope you get the chance to meet some visitors, to learn about their cultures, to walk alongside them for a moment while they take in the sights and sounds of that great city.
And I hope you take a moment to reflect on the idea that God loves them all, even though some of them may choose to disregard Him. That famous verse makes it quite clear – God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son… Usually we have to go to the world to proclaim that truth, but this summer the world is coming to you. So pray for the doors to open for you to tell the world about God’s love.
